The Bag in Box features a gas purge system for modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) of nuts and other food products. Gas flushing the product prior to vacuuming reduces the residual oxygen level in the bag, extending shelf life and maintaining freshness.
Gas purge also minimizes the likelihood that the a product's (such as nuts) sharp edges will puncture the bag, further adversely impact shelf life. This vacuum sealer is ideal for bulk vacuum packaging nuts, such as walnuts, pecans, almonds, cashews, pistachios, etc.
The Bag in Box vacuum sealer is used by some of the world's largest nut processors to bulk package their product. In the food industry the Bag in Box bulk vacuum packaging machine can also be used for bulk packaging of cheese, produce, and even bulk coffee.
